Forgive & Tend To You

Our Divine Download for September 27, 2026 is Forgiveness from the Sacred Mushroom Oracle. We're usually taught to see forgiveness as a one-way gesture towards those who've wronged us, yet true forgiveness demands much, much more. It require us to also address and nurture our own wounds with compassion. We are being called on to see clearly and forgive, but to also extend compassion to ourselves and those who have harmed us. This isn't just about others; real forgiveness is a step closer to our own healing and ensuring that the past and past hurts don't shadow our future. It is also important that we don't participate in spiritual bypassing where we forgive without also facing our pain because forgiveness and healing go hand in hand. Forgiveness is guided by compassion that encompasses both the offended and the offended. Because we live in a world full of conflict, Forgiveness myst become more than an action - it must become a sacred practice of compassion, repeated with every breath that we take throughout our lifetime. Forgiveness isn't an afterthought, it is a way of life. If you only participate in the action of forgiveness without compassion, the same offenses that you were actively forgiving will show up again and again in your life. When this card shows up, Spirit is asking you "Where have you forgiven but not yet extended compassion to yourself?" You are being called to go there and nurture it. Affirm: "I practice forgiveness by first tending to myself and what has been hurt and then extending compassion to those who have hurt me." You can also pray: "Spirit, please remind me that we are all humans on this journey. Give me strength to be compassionate in my practice of forgiveness and love, and to tend to my wounds." Forgiveness is a two step process and feels so much better, so much lighter, and so much easier when you fully forgive with both parts of that process. This is the way.
