Get By With A Little Help From Your Friends

Our Divine Download for February 17, 2026 is Let Your Friends Help You from the Romance Angels Oracle Cards with the message "Ask for and accept support from others." It hasn't been so terribly long since we've seen a similar message, so we are possibly being a lil stubborn when it comes to implementing this guidance. Human beings are not meant to be solitary creatures. We aren't meant to be alone. We're not meant to do everything alone. So we need to get over ourselves and get out of our own way in order to ask for help. Asking for help does not indicate weakness. It is demonstrative of strength. When someone has asked you for help in the past, chances are not your first thought wasn't "what a weakling, they could totally do this themselves!" Chances are better than not that thought never crossed your mind. So why would you think that this would cross the mind of someone whom you asked for help. Because it wouldn't. Sometimes practicing asking for help is as simple as allowing someone to hold a door for you or grab a bag for you when your hands are full. Sometimes it is a little bit more substantial. But we feel GOOD when we help others. We feel useful. We feel connected. We feel needed. We feel important. Why would you then purposely deny those feelings to the people in your life?! You are actually helping others by allowing them to help you in meaningful and productive ways. #truestory This isn't to say that you need to invent things that you need help with or that you should regularly be delegating tasks that you are perfectly capable of doing yourself. But those things that are a struggle for you, those things that others can do more effectively than you are able to, or those things than can take things off of your plate - especially when you're drowning or overwhelmed - are really important to ask for help with. It is a gift to ask for help. It is a gift to accept help. Be willing to share these gifts with others.
