Learn Your Ancestors, Learn Yourself

We are all made up of those who came before us, for better or for worse. We often focus on superficial traits i.e. "I have my father's eyes..." or "she has her mother's smile..." and "everyone on that side of the family has blonde hair..." or "most of the people on my mom's side of the family had to have braces..." etc. While those family resemblances are cool and genetics can be fun and surprising, none of that ultimately matters. What about being strong like your grandmother? Or being an humanitarian like you great-grandfather? Or being highly intuitive, or independent, or resourceful? We don't always pay adequate attention to those deeper personal traits that our family of origin had, either when they were with us on there earth plane or after they've passed. That is the heart of what really matters. There is SO much good, so much positive, so much strength that we can inherit from our ancestors but we need to notice those things in order to be able to tune into our ancestral dna and embody them. Because if your grandmother was strong, her cells live in your body so too are you. If your great-grandfather was a humanitarian, so then are you. Personal and character development traits don't usually skip generations. We just don't choose to notice or embody them. You can do a differently focused family history deep dive and learn about who you are in a completely different way. When you do this it because far easier to break generational cycles and curses because you can then lean into the sum of all of the parts of your ancestral lineage which damn near makes you unstoppable. The best way for you to learn about your family culture is to embody those part of your family that you wish to emulate. There is also no greater tribute that you can pay your ancestors. In learning about them and their culture, you will also learn about yourself in a much different, much deeper, and much more profound way.
