Lighten Up, Laugh It Off

It's good for body and Soul." Not everything has to be so serious all of the time. But somewhere along the lines we have lost our levity. Be willing to ask yourself "am I making this more serious than it actually is?" Sometimes it is challenging to have proper perspective especially when society always seems to be selling that everything is not only serious, but is an emergency. This has become one of the big negatives with the constant connectivity that we now live with. The people around us expect us to respond, reply, and react in the moment. But chances are better than not that is not strictly necessary for us to do so. When we don't take everything so damn seriously and we can lighten up and go with the flow to a bigger degree, we can actually have a little bit of fun in our lives and even laugh. You should be making it a point to laugh every single day. If you are finding it challenging to find things to laugh at, just look around, look at the headlines. Yes, horrific things are happening every single day. But, so are ridiculous thing. So are funny things. So are things that we won't go to hell for laughing at. Sometimes we need to create our own humor when everything and everyone around us seems to be so serious, and that's okay. We have the capacity to seek, find, and create humor. Now is the time to commit to exercising those skills every single day. It's more necessary now than it ever has been before.
