Listen Within

Our Divine Download for June 28, 2026 is Listen for Spirit/Barn Owl from The Illustrated Beastiary Oracle Cards. Barn Owl has long been a messenger between the worlds, bringing word from the realm of Spirit. Barn Owl encourages us to close our eyes and open our ears to the sound of Spirit. That may seem easier said than done, but the key to opening your ears actually lies in listening to your heart. You heart and your intuition can be considered one in the same and when you open up your heart, and open up your ears, and focus on listening to what your heart wants, needs, and is actually saying to you, it also opens up the intuitive pathways necessary to listen to and connect with Spirit. Barn Owl shows up for us because now is an important time to listen to Spirit and it may very well even be that Spirit has a very specific message for us at this time. We are used to seeing the world through our eyes and we usually require seeing something with our own two eyes in order to deem it real or valid. Barn Owl reminds us that sight isn't the only way to connect. Intuition and inner knowing cannot be seen with your physical eyes (usually). How do you define what's real for you? Does your intuition have a seat at the table of decision-making? Does it have a seat at the head of that table? A position of reverence? How do you work with the information your receive in dreams and meditations? How do you incorporate that into your life and into your decision-making process? These are just some of the questions that Barn Owl suggests that we ask in order to bring our intuition, as well as our heart out of the darkness and into the light of connection where they belong. Energy flows where intention and attention goes and when we ask these questions, when we pay attention to how we treat our intuition, we pave the path for spiritual communication of all kinds.
