Our Divine Download for February 11, 2024 is Love Yourself First from The Romance Angels Oracle Cards. So, just in case you missed yesterday's post, the Romance Angels are not being particularly subtle with us with their instruction that we love ourselves first. We know when we're on an airplane they always tell you to put your own oxygen mask first before you assist anyone else. The same is true for love, especially self love. You've gotta love yourself first and best before you can meaningfully love anyone else. Because if you don't love yourself first, how can you know what it means, or how it looks to love anyone else? Love is absolutely not a one-size-fits-all type of concept. How it looks to love yourself is likely completely different than how it looks to love anyone else in your life. How it looks to love one person likely looks completely different than how it looks to love another. That's why there are books that look at and talk about specific love languages because love is as unique as each individual. So what does it mean to you to love you? Have you really given yourself full permission to love yourself? If not, why not? Have you figured out what your love language is with yourself? Have you figured out what you can do for yourself to make you feel as loved as much and as well as you possibly can by you? It's not optional anymore. This is the way forward. This is the way that we heal ourselves and through doing so also how we help to heal the world.
