Our Divine Download for December 5, 2021 is Compassion from the Spellcasting Oracle Cards. The traditional definition of compassion is "sympathetic pity and concern for the sufferings or misfortunes of others." Sympathy is something that seems to be in short supply lately just like compassion because we live in a world so fraught with division and obsessed with judgement. It's time for all of us to soften our hearts a little and to start by offering those close to us our love and support. Emotional hurts of the past often cause the heart chakra to close which prevents feelings of tenderness towards others. It's time to break down our defenses and the emotional and energetic walls that we have built in and around our heart chakras. When we are able to share our challenges, troubles, and experiences, it cuts them in half. Just like that. We're being asked to look outside of ourselves and imagine how others feel, and to really try to see how it feels from their point of view. Your natural state is warm and sympathetic. Anything less is a sign for you that you have absorbed harsh and toxic energies which have closed or temporarily damaged your heart chakra. Compassion occurs when your heart expands and opens up to embrace both the emotions of others as well as those of your own. You are also being gently and lovingly reminded to go easy on yourself and to practice self care in the form of self compassion. How will that look for you today?
