Receive Your Abundance Well

Our Divine Download for May 5, 2026 is Lakshmi/Abundance from the Legendary Ladies Goddess Deck. Lakshmi is the Hindu Goddess of fortune and prosperity and she brings a boundary of rewards for great work. She especially favors people who have perseverance and are willing to put in the hard work, so make sure that you're putting in the time. Abundance is coming for you very soon. Lakshmi is almost always depicted on or with a lotus flower, which makes sense. Lotus flowers are rooted into the mucky beds of the bottoms of bodies of water, and they have to keep progressing towards the light that exists through the surface of the water in order for lotus flowers to grow big enough to bloom and grow. It makes sense that Lakshmi rewards those who have been and are willing to put in the hard work to rise through their own inner much, or the muck from which they have come, those who actively seek the light of self development, those who actively seek to break through the surface of their own deep mucky emotions so that they may keep their heads above water. The type of abundance that Lakshmi is bringing in as a reward for all of that heard work and great progress will not be menial. It will make everything feel like it was worth it, even though the growth and the development that you have and will continue to achieve are rewarding in their own right. You had to clear your arms and your heart from all of the heaviness and the much that you had previously been holding in order to make space to be able to hold your forthcoming abundance. You have earned this. You deserve this. It is yours, and for that reason alone, no one will be able to come along and take your hard earned abundance from within your arms where it belongs. The timing of this card is quite serendipitous arriving at the 5:5 portal, the day before Pluto stations retrograde, both events opening the gateways for our successes for many months to come. There is also an owl pictured on this card, suggesting that this is abundance that is also being brought into us and for us due to the cultivation and honoring of our great wisdom and inner knowing.
