Our Divine Download for September 6, 2021 is Love from Your Parents from the Magical Unicorns Oracle Card with the message "No matter what, your mother and father love you as much as they can." Our Unicorn friends bring us a dual message today! First, the obvious, no matter what plane of existence your parents may exist on, they love you. Your parents are not just your biological mother and your biological father, but rather, everyone who has come before you in your genetic line! Your parents, their parents, their parents before them, and so on. They ALL send you love! They come to you on Labor Day with their love and a nod of approval that they are proud of you and that you have earned some rest, however that may look for you. They're here for you, they support you, and they love you - they've always got your back!
The second part of this message is a gentle reminder that *everyone* is doing the best that they can with what they have. Certainly this is true of your parents, regardless of the circumstances of your upbringing. This is also true for just about every single person that we come in contact with on a daily basis. Just like our parents didn't get up one day and decide "I'm going to do everything I can to just royally screw up my kid (even if it seems as though they might have!)" most people do not decide "I'm going to be the biggest jerk I possibly can and spread unhappiness everywhere I go today." But unfortunately not everyone has the same tools and the same skills, and life is hard out there right now. Certain aspects of life and society have arguably made it even more challenging in the recent past, and not everyone has the same skills and tools to cope with that either. Things are not always as they seem, and people as a whole can be tricky to read and understand. But when we hold the belief that everyone is truly doing the best they can with what they have at the time, and we act from our place of love and compassion, we will not be as affected by the lack of skills and tools in others. Try giving someone the benefit of the doubt today that they are doing the best that they can with what they have at the time and maybe send them a little bit of love and light too.
Relationships with our parents, those we encounter, and those who have come before us in our family lines are not always easy or simple.
