Our Divine Download for August 23, 2023 is Understanding from the Zen Cards with the message "What happens to you does not matter; what you BECOME through those experiences is all that is significant. This is the true MEANING of life." You are more than the sum of your parts. You are MUCH more than the sum of your experiences. When you understand this, and understand that this is true for each and every single one of us having this human experience as spiritual beings, then you will better understand life. No big deal. We're so used to looking at things in terms of parts or glimpses, and never really the sum of totals in any way on anything. Even the mantras that are so wide spread within our culture focus on "divide and conquer" and things of this nature. If you have let any situation or situations from your past define you, it is time to flip the script on that and realize that it is merely a part of who you are, and absolutely does not define you. No one choice, no one success, no one mistake - none of those singular things defines you. Nor will it ever. You are the sum total of your parts and the closer that you are to understanding all of the layered nuances that exist within yourself due to the many layers of your experiences and all of the moments of your life up til now, the closer you are to understanding not just yourself, but life in general. No big deal ;)
