Accept Your Becoming

Our Divine Download for October 28, 2026 is Eight of Ghosts from The Halloween Tarot. The Eight of Ghosts is also the eight of water, eight of cups, eight of hearts, eight of summer, and eight of Archangel Raphael in other tarot interpretations. The Eight of Ghosts talks about an emotionally intense period of spiritual growth and development and can also talk about searching for something more meaningful in any are of your life. What nobody tells you about intense periods of growth and transformation, especially spiritual and emotional growth and transformation, is that it isn't always easy, nor is it always comfortable, especially emotionally speaking (because the suit of ghosts is also the suit of water, dealing with our emotions, our emotional needs, and how we seek to get our emotional needs met in the world.) You can see the different approaches to spiritual development and growth being taken by the ghosts on the card: some have exceptional trepidation at even the thought of getting into o the water, some are practically drowning in it and are simply trying to keep their heads above water (or, perhaps they willingly dove in..." and others are on the other side of the experience and still ascending because they were willing to wade into the water and sit with their feels as they grew and developed. Which ghost are you? Are you afraid of what you'll find and inevitably face in the waters of your own emotional and spiritual growth? Are you trying to keep your head above water while treading those waters? Or are you ascending on the other side? We'll all eventually get to the same place, but we get to choose our own adventure as to how we get there. We have free will choice as to what path we choose, what pace we process, and to what extent we delay and protest, but make no mistake about it, we're all going to end up in the same place - on the top of the other side of the mountain of enlightenment because like it or not we're all on an ascension path and this card puts us on notice that realistically we've probably already been in the water, at least the shallows, for quite a while. Sometimes simply accepting where you are and knowing where you're going is the biggest way to alleviate some of the discomfort of the growth and transformation process. Because fighting against it simply creates more tension, friction, delays and ALL kinds of additional discomfort. Look for those glimpses of the person you're becoming in this process to assure yourself how much you'll love where you are going.
