Our Divine Download for May 31, 2023 is Artemis/Independence from the Legendary Ladies Goddess Deck. Independence is something that gets a bum rap, and we tend to screw up, especially as women. We're criticized for being independent as though it is a bad thing. The truth of the matter is that regardless of how independent any of us may or may not want to be we're interdependent. #facts. We cannot survive without other people, and we cannot do things all on our own. And we're not meant to. It's all about balance. And being independent, taking care of what you are able to take are of on your own is a wonderful thing. But you need to balance that with asking for help, and actually accepting the help, when it is available to you. It actually increases your ability to be independent more often when you balance your life in this way and it increases your rate of overall success. Even when you are as independent as you can possibly be, going it alone, getting shit done, you are NEVER actually alone because you are supported by your whole team of heavenly helpers. Are you in the practice of regularly invoking them and allowing them to assist you and make your path easier and let you better stay in the flow of life? (If not, you might want to get on that, STAT!) Knowing when to ask for and accept help is the truest sign of actual independence. You know what you can do. You know what you need to do. And you know what you need to work on. So do it to it!
