Our Divine Download for January 19, 2022 is Brothers and Sisters from the Magical Unicorns Oracle Cards with the message "To get along with others, see the love - and the best - within them." When I pulled this card I could immediately hear "We Are Family" by Sister Sledge. There's been so much division within the past few years, and we have seemingly become experts at putting people into boxes and categories and applying labels to them. The truth is, we are all people. We have this underlying undeniable commonality called humanity which unites us at our very core. When we can be mindful of this and remember it, when we can choose to see people through the truth of their humanity rather than the filters of our labels and judgments, it makes it much easier to relate to and deal with the people in our lives as well as those people that we come in to contact with on a daily basis. We have all heard it said that everyone is fighting their own battles, and this is true of every single person on this planet. Some of the battles that people are fighting you will never know and will never have any idea about. So why not make it a point to connect with your brothers and sisters in humanity and extend them some grace, some kindness, and even show them some love. We don't have to know what they are fighting or what they are dealing with in order to treat them with love and respect. Just as we don't want people all up in the details of our business in order to be treated the same way. A little love, a little acknowledgement of our commonalities and the strings that connect us, it goes a loooooooooonnnnnnnnnnngggggggggggggg way. Especially these days.
