You've experienced a loss, whether it's the loss of a relationship, a loved one,a project, or an idea that's no longer feasible - there are myriad ways that we can and do experience grief and our society doesn't acknowledge all of the ways in which we can experience grief in our lives. Oftentimes we try to suppress our grief instead of fully experiencing and processing the emotions that come with grieving. Or we get drowned by our grief and stay at rock bottom with seemingly no way up. Allow your heart to express and heal the grief by engaging the creative within. Write, draw, paint, sing, cook, redecorate, leaning into your most creative self to soothe your heart and channel your grief into something unrecognizable. Give your grief a shape, a color, a story, a sound, a movement, a poem, a song, to help bring healing to you. Personify your grief as a means to better understand, process, and integrate it. Your heart holds the most powerful healing force that can transform inner suffering into sparks of joy. Engaging the heart will help you find hope again and ultimately lead you to the light at the end of the tunnel, no matter how long the journey may take. Give yourself grace and space within your healing process to know that you will not hurt forever and know that grieving, whatever it is that you need to grieve, and however your grief needs to look, will help to move your forward.
