Get Right With Yourself

Our Divine Download for October 29, 2026 is The Emperor from The Halloween Tarot. The Emperor is a major arcana card, one of the first 22 cards of the tarot deck, denoting larger scale change and transformation than what is being experienced by most people. Major arcana cards are similar to trump cards in traditional playing cards and when they show up we want to pay them more attention, more heed than the minor arcana. The Emperor is a serious dude. He is all about structure, logic, discipline, as well as being ruled by Saturn (aka the Lord of Karma and the Lord of time). When the Emperor shows up he is putting us on notice that it is time to get real about something and it is time to not only make but execute a very thorough and specific plan. The Emperor doesn't want you waste another single second planning anything. He wants you to roll up your sleeves and get to work. And he wants you to be thorough and consistent about getting your work done. In the major arcana of tarot The Emperor follows the High Priestess and if we follow the Fool or the Dreamer's journey through the major arcana, the High Priestes would have been where we allowed our intuition to guide us and where we really made space for and gained mastery of our intuition. Now that we have that intuitive connection and mastery, The Emperor says that we need to be people of our word and act with integrity as we focus on moving forward in a structured and disciplined manner with what we are working on, working towards, and what we are wanting to build in our lives. This doesn't have to mean all or nothing type of energy, but it means figuring out what meaningful and consistent steps you can take each and every day. Consistency is key according The Emperor and he isn't just interested in what you are doing or how you are showing up in public, but he is more interested in how you are showing up and how you maintain consistency and disciplined when no one else is looking. Saturn is currently retrograde in Aries and the assignment he's extended to us is to get right with ourselves, in a structured, disciplined, and logical way. The Emperor doubles down on this invitation and sternly suggests that we figure out what we need, and figure out how to take action in filling and prioritizing those needs. Right about now.
