Our Divine Download for August 31, 2025 is Anger from the Voice of Souls Oracle. Wow. August is certainly going out like a lion holding on to some serious Leo energy despite the sun being in Virgo! Anger is an uncomfortable topic and an even more uncomfortable emotion for a lot of people. Many people, especially generationally, and particularly those raised in certain cultural or religious backgrounds were taught that it wasn't appropriate or even safe to get angry. "Good girls/boys don't get mad." Absolute bullshit. Anger isn't either good or bad. Anger is a normal, healthy human emotion. It is when we don't accept our anger, and we refuse to express our anger that it becomes toxic. It is when we hold our anger too tightly that as we see in the image on the card it harms us, it cuts us, it pierces through us. But most of us aren't taught healthy ways to demonstratively express our anger. Many of us even have a hard time with the sentence "I feel angry right now" or "I'm angry!" Healthy demonstrative expressions of anger can be anything that pairs an action with the mindful decision to express anger. For some it can be screaming (better when done to yourself, not at anyone, not in public - there are actually laws about the latter). You can even scream into a pillow in your car in your driveway if you live with other people and do not have another outlet. Singing along (or screaming along) with certain music (heavy metal, gangsta rap - so many options!) can be another way to access and express your anger. Exercise can be a wonderful way to demonstratively express and work through anger whether it is walking like you're pounding your feet into the concrete, running, lifting heavy, dancing. Ripping old papers, old clothes, old lines that you don't need any more is another wonderful outlet. Breaking things (preferably things that belong to you and that you no longer need) by throwing them or smashing them with a hammer or a bat can also be helpful ways to demonstratively express anger. It doesn't matter why you are angry. You don't need to explain it or justify it. Just get it out so that you aren't gripping it so tightly. When the anger comes out, it makes space for the blessing of more comfortable and enjoyable emotions to land.
After you have demonstratively expressed your anger, your nervous system may feel a certain kind of way and a Karuna Reiki Session can sooth your soul and guide you back to your center. Schedule Your 60 Minute Karuna Reiki Session TODAY: Book Your Session HERE!
