Our Divine Download for January 7, 2024 is Religion and Spirituality from the Butterfly Oracle. When we begin a new year, we usually have some goals, possibly make some resolutions, set some intentions, about how we want things to go in our lives. But more often than not, we sort of gloss over or overlook completely how we want to shift, grow, or change when it comes to our religion or spiritual practices. Given that these are a big (HUGE!) part of our lives, we are being called to pay them some attention. Perhaps you don't have daily religious or spiritual practices, and if that is the case, there is no better time to start than right about now. Perhaps you have some practices that you have fallen away from that it is time to buckle down and lean back into with renewed commitment and discipline. Perhaps there are things in these arenas that you have been doing, that simply no longer work for you. And that's okay! It is always okay to make the changes that feel right and alignment to us, even if they don't make sense to others or others may not understand (it isn't about them anyway!) Take some time today, and over the subsequent days, weeks, and months (not everything has to be done right this second and it is always about progress rather than perfection!) and assess if there are in fact changes that you want or need to make to your religious or spiritual practices, and come up with a realistic way in which to make them. You will need them throughout this year to best support your overall growth.
