Get The Bats Out Of Your Belfry!

Our Divine Download for October 24, 2025 is Nine of Bats from the Halloween Tarot. In other tarot interpretations the Nine of Bats would be the Nine of Air, Nine of Swords, Nine of Winter, Nine of Archangel Michael, or Nine of Spades. The suit of Air, or Bats, is all about our cerebral energy, so it focuses on our thinking, our over thinking, and even our stinkin' thinkin' (because we never do any of that!) The Nine of Bats is telling us that we're SO stuck in our heads that it is driving us batty, destroying our peace, causing intrusive thoughts, and even contributing to poor sleep quality, restless nights, sleepless nights, and nightmares. And that's no good! When you find yourself being driven batty by your own thoughts, unable to get off of the hamster wheel of your mind, you have two options: take an action (like actually DO something! Don't just THINK about all of the things that you could do.) or process an emotion. The latter is especially true when we find ourselves thinking about and analyzing our emotions rather than just feeling our way through them and allowing them to simply be. Usually we will elect to take an action rather than to take the time and make the space to process our emotions, because it feels like it would be easier, and that's okay, because when we're doing something, it is a lot harder to stay on that hamster wheel in our mind. However, when you are finding that you are taking actions, and your thoughts are still driving you batty, that is a sure sign for you that you're going to have to lean into the emotional processing side of your experience. For now, just pick something (hint: staying stuck, not resting or being peaceful, and continuing to allow your thoughts to drive you batty is not an option!) anything, whether it is related to what your mind is on over drive about or not and just do something, anything. Take one small, but meaningful step and allow your mind to take rest. If the bats in your mind are still flapping, take another step. Take as many steps as you need to because your worst case scenario is that you'll actually get something done, and you'll end up resting due to sheer exhaustion. Don't forget to breathe, moving all of the cerebral energy in your mind though your body as you take action. This will help to bring better air element balance.
