Just Be YOU

Our Divine Download for June 7, 2026 is Just Be/Oats from The Illustrated Herbiary Oracle Cards. Oats shows up for us to remind us to stay present moment focused. She reminds us to stop grappling with and fighting endlessly with our own thoughts and implores us to soften to the wind, open to the sky, and ground yourself into the earth to know the truth of each present moment. This moment, right here, right now, is all that we are guaranteed. We cannot assume that we will have an infinite amount of moments in the future, which is why Oats reminds us to just be now. Right here. Right now. Oats also encourages us to be quiet, if not silent, to allow ourselves to be surrounded by the beauty and intrique of the present moment without filling it with our constant chatter. Can you just be? Can you let go of expectations? Can you let go of the need to know? Can you release the quest for answers to your questions or conclusions to your stories? This is Oat Medicine. In a way, it's very much like meditation - the floating in a soft space, letting your nerves relax. And it takes practice. (Read that again!) And. It. Takes. Practice. Can you give yourself a minute of this softness? What about two minutes? Three minutes? Five minutes? Fifteen minutes? Twenty-five? Can you give yourself as long as it takes to just soften into being? To allow yourself to just be? To let it be? Does your mind rebel at the though of going silent? Does your ego scream at you and loudly caution you against just being?? Pema Chodron said in The Wisdom of No Escape "Meditation practice isn't about trying to throw ourselves away and become something better; it's about befriending who we are. Befriending who you are, in the spiritual truth of all of your inherent glory, and allowing yourself to simply be who you are is the most important thing you will ever learn, practice, or do. This is a practice worth investing your time and energy into. Just be.
