Only You Can Do The Footwork

Our Divine Download for November 12, 2025 is "Your spirit guides can lead you but can't do it for you" from the Healing Spirits Oracle. Your spirit guides want to help you. Your spirit guides absolutely will help IF you ask them to (when you ask them to). But your spirit guides' job is to help and support you, not to do things for you or on your behalf. I see this fairly often when people start to work with their spirit guides. Instead of seeing them as supportive partners, they see them as entities that are meant to swoop in and save them from their current circumstances and then become frustrated when things don't play out in that manner. Learning how to work with your specific spirit guides in an effective manner is akin to learning a specific dance because each of your spirit guides have unique personalities and characteristics. The basics of this dance are that you ask your spirit guide for help, or for information, and they bring you something helpful, or some helpful information. It is then up to you to act in order to process and assimilate that help and that information, before deciding to act or deciding in which direction you will now move forward based upon the help or information provided. Learning to work with your spirit guides is no different than learning to work with anyone on the earth plane. Sometimes it comes very naturally. Sometimes it may take a little bit of time and some trial and error. And that's okay. Because nothing in your life is truly so serious that you do not have the time, or cannot make the time to learn thee valuable skills that will support you in your life. Your spirit guide cannot do anything for you or in place of you because they are not you (and they are entities and energies that live in other realms and planes of existence too, so that adds in a wrinkle or three). It is not their life. It is yours. You cannot benefit from the experiences meant to be gained through certain situations if you do not do the footwork and participate in your own life, participate in your own process. You may think that it would be easier or better if your spirit guides could do things for you, and we all feel like that from time to time, but the truth is that it would likely cause more problems than it could ever potentially solve. Because they are not you and this is not their life. Thank goodness.
