Play Time!

Our Divine Download for September 20, 2025 is It's Time to Play from the Archangel Michael Sword of Light Oracle. Archangel Michael says "You're working to hoard and worrying about everything. Seek out joyous experiences to bring balance into your life." It is often when our spirit needs to play the most that we are least likely to think of, or remember that we are alive right now to be in joy, or to prioritize play. We feel bad or selfish or negligent, which leads to feelings of guilt, if we choose to play when we have SO many things on our proverbial "to do" list. But, the reality is that 99.97% of the time, no one else is even aware of our mental to do list, and even if they are, they wouldn't care. Especially because when we take the time to invest in ourselves and play to nurture and nourish our spirit and allow the lightness of being that is our birth right to emerge, we are actually more productive and more capable of getting things done that we would have been had we not taken the time to play. So often, we live in such a work focused society, we forget, especially as adults, that play is even an option, much less that it is a requirement for our spirits to fill our cups and balance our energies. Play is necessary to remind us why we are alive and what it is exactly we are living and working for. Play doesn't have to be extravagant or expensive, just like when we were children, play is often most effective when it is spontaneous and simple. We might have forgotten, or disconnected from what it means to us to play, and that's okay. That just means that we get the joy of rediscovering what it means to us to play in our lives right now. It may not look the way that it used to. It may not be the same as when we were kids. And it may. It doesn't really matter either way. What matter is that you invest in yourself and make time to play something that actually happens, not something that you dream of or wish for.
