Retreat!

Our Divine Download for August 20, 2025 is Retreat from the Self-Card Oracle with the message "Take a mini-retreat. Listen to the voice of your soul." What a serendipitous follow-up to yesterday's message about priorities. It may not be logistically possible for you to take a mini-retreat right this second, but it is absolutely possible for you to plan a mini-retreat for the future, or to take several mini-mental, mini-emotional, or mini-physical retreats throughout your day. It is all in how you frame your activities. Prioritize planning for a mini-retreat now if you don't have anything on the books. But in the meantime, take a breathing mini-retreat and do a couple rounds of deep breathing, or box breathing. Take a 5 minute dance break as a physical and emotional mini-retreat. Turn your phone off for an hour or two, or even take a social media free weekend mini-retreat. Go for a little walk or a nice drive one evening rather than sitting on the couch and binging Netflix. Pick up some healthy grab-n-go prepared meals or snacks that can be turned into meals and take a mini-retreat from cooking for a day or two. Even simply take a nap or sleep in one day if you aren't regularly able to get adequate rest and allow that to restore you and rejuvenate you a bit and frame it as a mini-retreat. The ways to build these types of breaks, or "mini-retreats" into your day, your week, your month, are endless and unlimited. It is whatever feels like a retreat to you. They are whatever will help you gain rest, clarity, ground, and center. You don't have to spend any, or much money, but the dividends allowing yourself this time and these resets will pay are unlimited. You're worth it!
