Rise Up!

Our Divine Download for October 8, 2026 is Phoenix/Rebirth/Hope/Renewal with the Fire Element from the Magic Spells Oracle. The legend of the phoenix states that each Phoenix will explode into flames only to be reborn from its own ashes. The Phoenix is a firebird who represents rebirth, renewal, and resurrection, as well as the hope that is intrinsic in transformation. We are all meant to transform as we grow through our own lives, and sometimes it is necessary for our transformations to be more extreme. Change is rarely if ever easy, and our fiery phoenix friends understands that the transformations which may be periodically necessary in our lives rarely come without some type of pain, whether that be physical, mental, emotional, or even spiritual. Even when we are not actively trying to seek out change or transformation, the reality is that every cell within our bodies turns over every seven years, so we are always actively physically transforming and are literally only 1/7th of the person that we were one short year ago. It is important to understand that the phoenix and the associated fire element shows up for us today, with Mercury in Scorpio and Venus Retrograde in Scorpio as we approach Scorpio season (the phoenix being an archetype long associated with Scorpio's ruling planet Pluto) because we are meant to not only rise from our current circumstances through our transformation, but we are then meant to use that transformative energy to spread our wings and fly. We are meant to soar. We are meant to achieve great heights. But we cannot do that without the necessary transformation. The element of fire will help us shed the skins of all that which no longer serves us making our own fiery transformation that much easier allowing us to rise higher and soar further. Transformation is nothing to fear because it is essentially an evolution and all of the best parts of us that make us who we are will be carried through the fire and possibly even transmuted to something even better. The Phoenix not only is a beacon of hope through rebirth and renewal, but he is the harbinger on onward and upward energy. It's time to rise.
