The Time Is Now

There's a reason why the time right here right now is referred to as the present. Because it is absolutely a gift. A magical gift at that. The present is where we really, truly get to live. The present is where we are meant to experience and enjoy life. But most of us spend WAY too much time dwelling on things that have already happened in the past - things that we can't change, and are prolonging dealing with my just spinning them around on the hamster wheels of our minds. Or, we are so focused on the future, too focused, focused to the extent that we are forgetting to notice everything that the present has to offer which is everything. Stop what you're doing right now and take three deep cleansing breaths. Look around. Notice what you see, what you hear, what you smell, what you feel. Really notice it. Be present with the present! Did you know that the absolute best way to positively affect the future is by participating fully with the present. Your mood, your energy, your vibration, your thoughts in the present are literally writing and rewriting your future. When you live in the now and you embrace all that the present has to offer, and you enjoy the many gifts of the present, you are playing show and tell with the universe and letting the universe know exactly what you want to receive more of. When you're in sadness, sorrow, anger, bitterness, and resentment from the past without doing anything about it other than ruminating, you are also letting the universe know exactly what you want to receive more of. When you are anxious, worried, or scared about the future, you are still letting the universe know exactly what you want to receive more of. The choice is yours, which is why the present really is the gift that keeps on giving. If your present doesn't feel particularly magical at the moment, look for the magic. Look for it and notice it. Because it is absolutely there. Your thoughts don't have to be perfect. Your emotions don't just have to be happy and loving. You can experience the full spectrum of what it is to be human and still have a fabulous future, as long as you are fully experiencing those emotions in the moment. It is when we choose to shelf, stuff, and carry things that we then have a problem. Challenge yourself to seize the moment today. Do one thing that you've been thinking about, one thing that you're worried about, one thing that you've been putting off. There's never been a better time than now.
