Watch What You Want

Our Divine Download for February 10, 2026 is Without hope, we live in desire. from the Healing Cards with the message "Ask yourself; 'What are my desires?' Then ask, 'What are my genuine needs?' Discover how casually you desire things that have no real value for you. Then you'll realize how easily you lose your power." Most of us are pretty darned disconnected from our desires. We either ignore them completely, or we fixate on things that we have been convinced that we want, that we don't actually want. When we sit with the idea of "what to I actually want?" and "why do I want what I want?" and "do I truly need what I want?" we empower ourselves by raising our connection to what we want, and we empower ourselves through the knowledge of our true motivation. Our capitalistic, consumer-driven society doesn't much want us asking these questions because we might actually change our habits and our patterns when we do. Knowledge is power, and self-knowledge through connected awareness is everything. Hope enters the equation because when we become clear on what we actually want, versus what we need, it allows us to take a more casual and relaxed approach to obtaining those things we want (but may not actually need) in the future because the desire isn't so blinding and doesn't drive as forcefully in the present when we understand our true motivation. None of this is telling you that you should not have wants that you do not need, or that wants and desires are wrong or bad. You're simply being asked to connect with greater awareness to the motivation behind that which you want. Understanding the motivation takes the urgency out of the dynamic of seeking and obtaining what we want and allows us to connect with, and live in hope. And that's pretty darned important!
