Our Divine Download for August 16, 2021 is Sekhmet/Healing from the Legendary Ladies Goddess Deck. Sekhmet is considered the lioness goddess of destruction and healing because she models for us that sometimes there is great power in breaking thrings down in order to rebuild them even better. She alerts us that there is one area in our lives where is is time to do exactly that. What have you been doing that just hasn't been working? What have you been struggling to hold onto even though you know you are fighting a losing battle? Where have you been seeking healing, but feel as though you just keep failing? Where are you seeing patterns repeat within your life over and over and over again? Sekhmet asks you to be willing to stop the struggle. Be willing to surrender the struggle. The definition of insanity is trying to do the same thing over and over and over again while expecting different results. Sekhmet tells us to knock it off! Destroy those patterns and those beliefs that are keeping us stuck on repeat. Destroy those things that are blocking our healing. If you partner with her, and if you ask for and are willing to accept her help, Sekhmet will send you messages in your dreams about what will help you transform during your next evolution. You have the power and the ability to be the next evolution of yourself each and every day if you so choose. You have the power to destroy anything that is keeping you stuck, or blocked, or bound in patterns of the past that simply no longer serve you. Sekhmet reminds you of your power, your true power. She also reminds you that if you are looking outside yourself for healing, for true, meaningful healing, that you will not find it there. You will heal from your own power. You are healing within the expression of your current power. We may need guidance on our healing paths and our healing journeys, but there is a huge difference between guidance and those who seek to have power over us or whom we allow to hold power over us. All healing relationships should be partnerships and our partners should encourage us to exercise the full scope of our own innate healing power.
