The only thing that you need in order to keep going is hope. It sounds so simple and yet it can be the most slippery thing to grasp amidst the dark night of the soul. Without hope, there's no reason to keep going; everything seems to crumble around you. This card is a call to return to hope, even if you can't see it. No matter your situation, there are supports, seen and unseen, all around you. Maybe things are dire, maybe you have lost sight of your truth, and maybe you just need a nudge. Wherever you are, remember the warmth of cozying up to a fire on a cold night - of being held by someone who loves you. Think of how you would care for a friend in your situation. As you begin to refocus your hope, look at ways to clear your energy to better connect with your inner flame. It's possible that your energy is laden with burdens that aren't yourself (either absorbed as an empath or given to you through traumas). You might be holding on to tension from your environment or wrestling with an old wound that has resurfaced. Keep the image of the warm light in your chest alive as you work through the layers. Take the time you need to process injustices, losses, and difficulties you've experienced, then open up to the possibility of goodness entering your life. Just because you can't see a better outcome or better conditions doesn't mean that they're not here, incoming, and possible. Sometimes it just means that you need to clear or adjust the lens of your perception. Unfortunately your ego loves to manufacture evidence to support hopelessness based on completely unrelated circumstances or data. Turning into your intuition and strengthening your trust in the Divine is the most effective strategy to best your ego. Peel away those layers of perceptions and circumstances blocking your hope the way you peel layers from an onion. You've got this.
