Our Divine Download for January 23, 2026 is Nuthatch - Flexibility from Bird Signs Guidance & Wisdom From Our Feathered Friends. Nuthatch is all about flexibility at a time in our history, our society, and our culture where people are dying on the proverbial hills of absolutes. We have seemingly lost the art of flexibility. We have certainly lost the skill of agreeing to disagree. While we are certainly living in a time that is testing our resolve, our commitment to our values, our ability to know when to hold 'em, fold 'em, or walk away, we are also living in a time that is meant to allow our flexibility to adapt and even increase as well. This is not to say that you have to ignore your moral compass or live a life that does not correspond with your intrinsic values, but it is absolutely saying that it is of immense importance right now to be flexible in your response, your interpretation, and how you move through the world. When so many are zigging, it leaves ample room to zag (but you won't see the freedom that you have to move in a different want when you are watching those who are zigging like a hawk, overly concerned, involved, invested in how they are moving, what they are doing, and what they are saying.) 2025 was largely about introspection, getting right with yourself, doing your deep, healing work, and figuring out how to move forward. There was flexibility even in that assignment because we each had the choice as to how we were going to do our inner work and what that was going to look like for us. As the year of the Fire Horse prepares to gallop in, in just a few short weeks, there will be more opportunity for movement this year, and more outward action, but we may need to be flexible as to how that movement will look. When you feel stuck, when you feel like there is no option for movement, no possibility for forward progress, that is a sure sign that you need to engage your flexibility because flexibility leads to adaptability and there is great strength, great power, and therefore great potential in both.
