The Old Woman of Dreams card reminds us that we should always take time to learn and grow from the knowledge of our dreams. Although many of our dreams don't make sense to us in a narrative context, the character who populate them and the images which appear hold that might be helpful to us along our journey and provide us information which will help us to navigate our path. Our dreams also reflect the wisdom of our inner self through the part of us that knows what's good for us, and what is necessary for us, even when our conscious mind may not. The same can be said for our day dreams or the information that comes to us through our imagination. All of that information is a part of us. All of that information has merit. All of that information makes sense, on some timeline and in some dimension if not for you at this specific moment in your life. We tend to dismiss our dreams and not pay them much if any attention. This card is not telling you that you have to examine every dream, day dream, or imagined moment that you have, but it is telling you to pay a little bit of attention, to factor that information in, to maybe be connected enough to that part of yourself and that part of your life that you start to notice patterns. Everyone is quick to ask for signs, signs of connection to guides, angels, and deceased loved ones. But those signs that they're asking for are usually outside of themselves. What if your dreams were the signs all along? What if the signs, the visions are manufactured within you, rather than externally? We ignore our own power and our own connection, when the truth is that we are the most powerful thing, the most powerful being, the most powerful energy that we will ever come into contact with. When we acknowledge that, honor that, and work with that, that is where magic happens. That is how our dreams start to become our realities. We are all connected - to each other and to spirit. Therefore, if we're all one, we don't need to look outside of ourselves for what we've likely known all along. We simply have to find a way to tune in, listen, and learn from that part of us that we have long ignored.
