Our Divine Download for February 16, 2026 is Forgiving And Learning from the Romance Angels Oracle Cards with the message "As you release and heal the past, you experience more love in your present moments." What a fitting message on this last day of the year of the Wood Snake which has been ALL about shedding, releasing, and letting go. Forgiving is a huge part of that, but that is not something that we have heard much about and it is certainly not something that our society talks much about. Forgiveness isn't a sexy topic. But it is absolutely necessary for us to learn and grow, and now we are being told in no uncertain terms that it is absolutely necessary to us experiencing more love in our lives. When we hold onto those things that are needing to be forgiven, we are blocking our energy and we are blocking the positive expressions of energy from other people. So if you have not felt the love and support that you have been wanting and needing in your life, chances are better than not that you may very well have some forgiveness work to do. Often we forget about forgiveness because it isn't sexy and it isn't fun, and it isn't always easy. Our society has also sold us a false bill of goods that forgiveness equates to acceptance and that is absolutely not true. When we forgive, we are acknowledging that something transpired, but we are also absolving ourselves from the responsibility of carrying and bearing the burden of unforgiveness any longer. Forgiveness is never about the other party. It is always about US and what we choose to allow and carry in our lives. You aren't giving the other party blanket permission to mistreat you again, but you absolutely are giving yourself the gift of space, the gift of freedom, the gift of grace, and the gift of growth. Exercising forgiveness of others and of yourself is the biggest gift that you can give to yourself and the biggest investment that you can make in choosing to focus on your own growth.
